FUN FACTS: APPLEBEE’S 🍎 

• Applebee's is a popular casual dining restaurant chain that was founded in 1980 and has grown to become one of the largest restaurant concepts in the United States, with over 1,800 locations worldwide.

• They considered "Cinnamon's" and "Pepper's" before settling on "Applebee's."

• The Founders Bill and T.J. Palmer looked for inspiration in a phone book and fell in love with the name "Appleby." After finding there was already a copyright on the name, they changed it to "Applebee's."

From time to time, Jack in the Box will offer special menu items, such as the "Ciabatta Bacon Cheeseburger". If you find something you're totally nuts about, that's great - while it's on the menu.

The Ciabatta Bacon Cheeseburger was one of the best ones, but they stopped making it. Still, the restaurant may (emphasize may) make you one if you ask

Ask if they can swap out the regular bun for a Ciabatta Bun

SECRET RECIPE: ARBYS

I already know what you’re going to say “You can just buy it at the store now!” Well I hate to bust your bubble, but it’s not the same! As an avid Arby’s eater, this is something I take very seriously! Below is a copycat that looks promising, and we have our DIY directions below it. 🍟 

Ingredients:

• 4 large russet potatoes

• Vegetable oil for frying

• 2 tablespoons paprika

• 1 tablespoon onion powder

• 1 tablespoon garlic powder

• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

• Salt to taste

Instructions:

• Preheat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375°F (190°C).

• Scrub the potatoes clean and cut them into thin strips.

• In a bowl, mix together the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.

• Fry the potato strips in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

• Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.

• While still hot, toss the fries in the spice mixture until well coated.

• Serve the curly fries immediately.
