Steak and Ale Restaurant

Quick Facts:

• Founded in 1966: The Steak and Ale restaurant chain was founded by restaurant entrepreneur Norman Brinker in 1966. Brinker later became known for his role in developing other chains, such as Chili's.

• Signature Menu: Steak and Ale was known for its signature menu that included items like the Kensington Club steak, herb-roasted prime rib, and the unlimited salad bar. • Bankruptcy and Closure: The parent company of Steak and Ale, S&A Restaurant Corp., declared bankruptcy in 2008.
