New Fish Sandwiches at Popeyes, Arby's, and McDonald's During Lent Season

New Fish Sandwiches at Popeyes, Arby’s, and McDonald's During Lent Season

It's that special time of year when some of our friends take a break from treats between Ash Wednesday and Easter. It's called Lent, and for 40 days, they give up things like meat on Fridays to remember when Jesus fasted. And fast food places are all set to join the tradition!

Wendy's and Popeyes are bringing back their fish sandwiches. Wendy's crispy panko fish sandwich is back, and Popeyes has their flounder fish sandwich and a shrimp tackle box.

Even though Chick-fil-A isn't doing a fish sandwich this year, they still have tasty veggie treats like biscuits, salads, and sweets. And other big names like Burger King, Taco Bell, White Castle, Bojangles, and Arby’s are adding fish and veggie dishes too.

Don't forget about Long John Silver’s, having lots of fishy deals. Subway has special prices on their veggie and tuna delights. Church's Texas Chicken has fish and shrimp options, while Red Lobster is celebrating with Lobsterfest.

And McDonald’s is making sure nobody misses out. Their Filet-O-Fish is always there, and now you can get a second one for just $1 when you buy one. That's a great deal! During Lent, McDonald's sells around 75 million of these fish sandwiches.

The whole fish sandwich craze started when people didn't eat meat on Fridays, and a smart McDonald's owner said, "Let's make a sandwich for that!" And boom – the Filet-O-Fish was born.

So, while fish sandwiches swim onto menus, we've got plenty of tasty options to keep our cravings on check and traditions going strong.
